"I love you, daddy."

As many of you know, #2 is not the most affectionate lad. But over this past year, we've been praying for him a lot, and God has been faithful in his life to answer those prayers. So just last week, I (Husband) decided to start praying that God would help him be more affectionate with me. He's quite affectionate with Wife and with #4, but not really with anyone else.

So today, I thought I should tell the kids, so that they, too, could see how faithful God is when he answers this prayer.

Well, tonight, I gave #2 a hug, and he hugged me back (which is not his usual behavior), and I said, "I love you, W*." And he said the above quote. It may seem like a small thing in writing, but in real life it's nothing like his typical response. It's just God answering prayer.

So I'm telling whoever reads this so that you'll know it, too. I'm going to keep praying, because God answers prayers.
